Economics drop as food supply lowers taxes are to high and trade becomes very risky. also military frontiers are to hard to patrol therefor the generals had to fight for control. the loyalty started to decline and mercenaries started to appear. Diocletains decided to divide the emperor into 2 parts the latin speaking west and the greek speaking east the east had more money and less poor while the west had Rome and and tradition. in ad 324 Constantine became emperor over both halves. he ends up moving the capital from Rome and moves it to Byzantium and then names the capital constantinoples. this is were asia meets Europe, which is now called turkey. after his death the empire gets divided again and then there are barbarian invaders. such as Vandles, Visigoths, angles, saxons and franks. these people start to over run Rome and the roman frontiers. Therefore the roman emperor is over and done with in as 476.
