test day
In class today, we took a test all about Rome and for the rest of the class we took notes on Charlemagne. I thought I failed the test but I ended up getting an 76.
Empire building:

- weak rulers and a decline in central authority leads to a feudal system where local lords assume power, leading to struggle with the Church
